Jesus Always Wins

The Enemy constantly tries to make us think of ourselves instead of Jesus. The Enemy taunts us with “Your sins are too great to be forgiven; you have no faith; you do not repent enough; you do not know the love of Jesus.” The Enemy is always at work to stir us to doubt our Lord and Savior.

But the Holy Spirit reminds us that it is not our grasp on Jesus who saves us; it is Jesus himself. It is not our hope in Jesus who saves us; it is Jesus himself. It is not even our faith in Jesus; it is Jesus himself.

Do not think about the strength of your grasp, but of Jesus and his hand that grasps yours; do not think about the fullness of your hope, but of Jesus, the source of your hope; do not think about the measure of your faith, but of Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith.

Pay no mind to The Enemy; keep your eyes on Jesus. When you wake in the morning, look to Jesus; when you lie down at night, look to Jesus. Follow hard after Him, and Jesus will never let The Enemy take you.

Jesus always wins.
